Reflective Writing #3

Applied Ethics Isn't Really that "NEW" to me, ethics was there from the beginning of mankind, people had a certain pattern of rules of Dos and don'ts. From the time we're born until the age of puberty we were told wrong from right, and as we mature we make our own choices and based on our choices we pay the price and face the consequences of our actions whether it's good or bad. Or making the hardest choices and sacrificing something valuable all for  something better in life.

It all comes down to Good and bad, but one thing I've learnt was that every person has his/hers own beliefs based on where they come from, what religion they follow, whether it's a superstitious belief, it may be of no value to me, but to others it maybe a sacred belief. Maybe it's their culture and tradition but all I know is that I have no right to disrespect anyone for who they are and what they grew up with.
Throughout the 12 hours of volunteer work at the special needs center, I've definitely learnt how to communicate with the students, it was a little bit overwhelming at first I didn’t think I could deal with them but I got around, the whole experience was inspiring, these children with disabilities had amazing talents and they aim higher than I do and succeed despite being impaired.
